Pet Food Recall
The American Veterinary Medical
Association (AVMA) is maintaining a comprehensive website that
provides detailed information about the following:
-
The Current Listing of Recalled Pet Food
-
Information for Pet Owners
-
Information for Veterinarians and Support Staff
-
General information about the topic
If you suspect that your pet has been
affected by a recalled food, the AVMA recommends you take the
following three steps to help your veterinarian with your pet's
diagnosis:
-
Retain food samples for analysis.
-
Document product name, type of
product and manufacturing information.
- Retain all packaging.
- Identify date codes or production lot numbers.
- Retain purchase receipts.
-
Document product consumption.
- Dates products or products were fed.
- Consumption and palatability history.
- Time of onset of clinical signs.
- Detailed dietary history (ie, all products fed and
feeding methods).
Please contact us
immediately, if you believe your pet has eaten any of the recalled
foods, or if you have any questions about the symptoms, food
involved, treatments required, or simply need additional
information.
About Our

Our name says it all! At All Creatures Veterinary Care
we provide comprehensive veterinary care for all species of critter.
From fur to feather, from scale to snail, we are equipped with the
knowledge and resources to provide the best possible veterinary care
for your family.
Our hospital was established in 1991 by Dr. Kevin Fenton and
Dr. John McConnell. Along with our dedicated staff we grew our
hospital until it became one of the leaders of veterinary care in
Coachella Valley. In mid 2006 we partnered with PetDrx to help
manage the expansion of our facility and services so that we could
continue to provide the highest level of care to our clients.
Today we employ three full time veterinarians and 15
dedicated support team members. We provide a wide array of services
including surgery, dentistry, comprehensive laboratory diagnostics,
microchip identification, wellness packages, training, and much
more. We are open 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday thru Friday and 9:00am to
4:00pm on Saturday. If you wish to contact us for any reason you
can find all of our information on our Contact
page. Thanks for visiting our web space and we hope
to talk to you soon.

Exotic
Care
Here at All Creatures
Veterinary Care, Dr. Fenton provides care for a variety of exotic
pets. He treats furry little pocket pets including Mice, Rats and
Guinea pigs. Reptiles such as Iguanas, Chameleons, Desert Tortoises
and Snakes often make their way into exam rooms. Birds are also a
common pet seen, ranging from small Parakeets to Parrots and
Cockatoos. Dr. Fenton has treated Falcons, bighorn sheep, gazelles,
and a zebra named “Fenton” residing at the Living Desert.
Microchip Identification
Each year about 2 million pets are reported missing. Only 14% of
dogs and 4% of cats who end up in shelters are returned to their
rightful owners. 30-60% of lost pets in shelters are euthanized
because they cannot be properly identified and returned to their
owners. All Creatures Veterinary Care is offering a solution to
this problem: the HomeAgain® Microchip Identification
System. All pets should wear collar tags imprinted with their
name and the phone number of their owner or veterinarian, but
tags can come off. Tattooing pets with a number is another
method of identifying pets, especially dogs. However,
veterinarians and pet rescue experts say tattoos can blur over
time, making them difficult to read, and they can be altered. A
HomeAgain® microchip provides a permanent form of
identification with a unique number that cannot be altered.

Foster Families & Rescue
Agency's
We
believe that helping those that help our critters is a worthwhile
endeavor. So that we may best disperse our energy and resources, and
to ensure that the animals we treat are receiving the best possible
support care, we ask that all foster and rescue agencies interested
in working with us make arrangements prior to arrival. We are happy
to offer discounts to active foster and rescue agencies. Please
contact our practice manager for further details.
Martha's
Village and Kitchen
It all began in a small
kitchen in a church parish hall. In 1990, Gloria Gomez and Claudia
Castorena opened Martha’s Kitchen with the assistance of Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Church in Indio. At the time, they served 30 hot
meals once a week. When the call for volunteer went out, church
members of all faiths began to participate by assisting in meal
preparation and food service. Some of the volunteers have been at
Martha’s for over ten years.
In 1998, Tom and Rita Martin visited Martha's Kitchen, which was now
serving 350 meals five days a week. The Martins shared the founders'
vision of a comprehensive program that would help rehabilitate the
homeless. Together, they chose Father Joe's Villages as the model
and partner for their program.
Today, Martha’s Village & Kitchen is a thriving Village with a
comprehensive "continuum of care" program for homeless families.
Thanks to the Martins' gift of 10 acres of land and $250,000, a $1.5
million commitment to Martha’s by Dan Dunlap, an international
philanthropist, and a $2 million HUD grant, Martha’s Village &
Kitchen opened the doors of our $10 million Dan Dunlap Center in
December, 2000. The Center offers all the necessary resources for
people to regain self-sufficiency.
